Company Overview
NEXTDC is an ASX-listed Australian data centre operator providing colocation, hyperscale and AI-focused capacity. It operates 17 data centres across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin, the Sunshine Coast and the Pilbara, and one offshore facility, KL1 in Kuala Lumpur, which went live in 2026. Its largest Australian developments are S4 (Horsley Park), S7 (Eastern Creek) and M4 (Port Melbourne).

Expansion Pipeline
S7 and S4 are about 8 km apart in Western Sydney. Together they account for most of NEXTDC's published future Sydney capacity. M4 is its main Melbourne expansion. The first phase of S7 is targeted for the second half of 2027, subject to approvals.
Services
Colocation (racks, cages, suites), hyperscale and AI deployments, and interconnection between facilities. NEXTDC offers managed interconnect between its Perth facilities, for example.
Sustainability
- M4 is designed to use non-potable recycled water for cooling
- S7 is described as using closed-loop liquid cooling without reliance on potable water
Major Customers
- OpenAI: non-binding MoU (December 2025) for capacity at S7, with OpenAI as the initial customer and able to scale over time.
